COMPLETE PERFORMANCE OF BACH’S SONATAS AND PARTITAS FOR SOLO VIOLIN

The programme follows on from the 2 CD album J. S. Bach: Sonatas and partitas for solo violin recorded by Pavel Šporcl on the 330th anniversary of Johann Sebastian Bach’s birth. The CD was issued by the Supraphon record label in September 2015. The record went platinum shortly after – in February 2016. The exceptional complete performance of Bach’s masterpiece for solo violin was given by Pavel Šporcl for the first time as part of his “Bacha na Šporcla” - Generali Tour 2015 in the sold out Sts. Simon and Jude Church in Prague, and in the Community Hall in Brno. Both the concerts were also part of the unique Bach Marathon. During this event Pavel Šporcl performed the complete works for violin by this composer, playing three times on three consecutive days. He was praised by music critics for this exceptional project.
